Length:
59:54
Original Webinar Date:
10/23/2025

Fibromyalgia (FM) is one of the most common chronic pain conditions. The disorder affects an estimated 10 million people in the U.S. and an estimated 3-6% of the world population with 75-90 percent of the people who have FM being women (1). Marked by chronic, widespread pain with defined points of tenderness, as well as fatigue, sleep disturbance, anxiety, and bowel dysfunction, many fibromyalgia sufferers struggle to find relief from their symptoms.

In this webinar, Drs. Christopher Carraway and Timothy Demchak will discuss new findings in using photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy/laser therapy in fibromyalgia management. They will share how PBM therapy in combination with exercise and pain education can provide a complementary approach to care that may minimize the need for medications and invasive procedures traditionally used in managing symptoms of this painful disease.

Key Talking Points Include:

- Current challenges related to fibromyalgia diagnosis, symptoms, and pain management

- How laser therapy works to reduce fibromyalgia pain

- Importance of exercise and pain education along with laser therapy

- The first FDA-cleared therapeutic laser for fibromyalgia patients
