Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction: Diagnosis, Disorders, and Laser-Based Interventions

Length:
52:39
Original Webinar Date:
7/24/2025

The autonomic nervous system (ANS) controls and regulates various bodily functions that happen automatically without conscious thought. The ANS controls internal organs and glands, including the heart, lungs, stomach, intestines, temperature regulation and blood vessels diameter. A crucial part of the peripheral nervous system, the ANS is responsible for maintaining homeostasis and responding to environmental stimuli.

Various lifestyle factors, genetic predispositions, and underlying medical conditions can cause dysfunctions in the ANS. Patients suffering from ANS dysfunctions are often misdiagnosed and thus endure ineffective treatments. Photobiomodulation (PBM) or laser therapy can offer a non-invasive way to manage these conditions.

In this webinar, Dr. Christopher Carraway will discuss the process of obtaining accurate ANS dysfunction diagnoses. Dr. Carraway will then explore how to craft and apply the appropriate laser therapy protocols to improve the patient's quality of everyday life.

Key Talking Points:

- Reviewing the internal and external causes of ANS disorders and their symptoms

- Explore how to obtain accurate diagnoses of ANS dysfunction to better serve patients

- How to create and apply laser therapy protocols as a non-invasive, drug-free method to manage ANS disorders
